Westbay Marine Village
is a re-development of Westbay Marina which is
being carried out by the owner, Westbay Investments
Ltd. Westbay Investments Ltd. was incorporated
in 1976 for the purpose of owning and operating
the Marina. Westbay Investments Ltd. is one of
a group of companies owned by the Lindholm Family
of Victoria, B.C. The Lindholm Group of Companies
have done a number of residential, commercial and
mixed use developments in and around Victoria and
the Canadian Gulf Islands.
Mark
Lindholm B.A., L.LB.
Mark Lindholm is the Development Manager of Westbay
Investments Ltd. and the
Managing Director of the Lindholm Group of Companies. Westbay Marine Village
is a product of Mark’s vision, imagination and tenacity. Mark has worked
tirelessly since 1991 to gain the support of Federal, Provincial and Municipal
politicians and bureaucrats to bring legal, tenured, high-quality floathome
living to Victoria and particularly to Westbay. Involved in all facets of
Westbay’s concept, design and construction, Mark is a hands-on owner –operator.
Mark is a lawyer by profession, entrepreneur at heart
and a serious student of architecture and design. Accomplishments

Mark is also an avid boater and motorcyclist
Colin Rowland - Construction Superintendent
Born in Bultan, England, Colin has worked as a carpenter
since 1948. Shortly after completing his apprenticeship
he was called up for service with the British Paratroop
Regiment and he was with them from 1952-54 in Korea
and 1955 in Egypt/Suez Crisis. After working for another
10 years in England, Colin moved to Canada in 1966.
Colin was Construction Manager of Beaver Lumber from
1969 to 1982 working across the entire country on a
variety of large projects. After that, he started his
own renovation/home repair business which has taken
him around the country before settling in Victoria.
He has been manager of construction and maintenance
at Westbay Marina since 1995. He is currently the construction
superintendent of Westbay Floathome Constructors Ltd.
Daniel
Boot has over 25 years experience in the building services
field providing his skills to the architectural community.
His architectural and cultural experience contribute
to an overall comprehensive and sensitive design approach
that has influenced many regional and international
projects. Dan is a Senior Designer and has worked on
a contract basis with architectural firms since 1988.
His responsibilities include the detailed design stage
and documentation of many complex projects ranging
from residential to commercial, recreational, industrial
and institutional in nature.
